Studio Woodworking is a foundation program that teaches woodworkers essential skills
and techniques that are specifically directed toward fine woodworking, and craftsmanship in general.
Studio Woodworking immerses students in a intense hands-on environment. We train people to be professional woodworkers.
Our studio has a new benchroom and machine room as of September 2015.
The program is fully equipped with every tool we could ever need.
Trades student amenities are brand new as of March 2016.
The Program is under the direction of the Construction Trades Department @ Okanagan College.
Studio Woodworking was developed and is Instructed by Tim Diebert.
Tim has worked as a full time woodworker since 1980 and has been at Okanagan
College since 2008. Tim has enjoyed a wide range of woodworking challenges over his
time in the trade. Examples of this range are boat building, furniture making, movie sets,
and guitar making.
A small portfolio of some of Tims guitar work can be seen here.
Our studio is located at the KLO Campus of Okanagan College, two blocks from Okanagan Lake
in beautiful Kelowna British Columbia.
1000 KLO Road.
